EOIR's overall mission is to provide uniform interpretation and application of immigration law, ensuring fair treatment for all parties involved. EOIR is composed of the Office of the Director, the Board of Immigration Appeals, the Office of the Chief Immigration Judge, the Office of the Chief Administrative Hearing Officer, the Office of General Counsel, the Office of Management Programs, the Administration Division, and the Office of Planning, Analysis, and Technology (OPAT).<br><br>The position is in the Program Analysis Staff of OPAT. The Program Analysis Staff carries out such representative functions for EOIR as identifying, assessing and recommending alternative positions on significant issues affecting the role, functions and objectives within the agency; identifying, planning, directing and conducting systematic analyses and evaluations of significant policy and management issues; developing implementation plans for recommendations, and developing post implementation evaluation plans to ensure that goals and objectives are met; monitoring critical nationwide initiatives and reports on status, as well as monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of programs; evaluating the effectiveness of EOIR's procedures, programs and automated systems, and providing recommendations to enhance program effectiveness; and providing system generated and ad hoc reports and analyses, and monitoring all data to ensure integrity, consistency and accuracy.
