of Personnel Management's Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program Office
is sponsoring research on fit between mentor-mentee pairs. This research
involves surveying mentor-mentee pairs<SPAN class=953174219-01042006> <STRONG>in
the federal workforce</STRONG></SPAN>, and will add greatly to our understanding
of mentoring effectiveness among current PMFs and PMF/PMI
alumni.</SPAN><o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></P>

size=3><FONT face="Times New Roman"> <o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></FONT></P>

face="Times New Roman"><FONT size=3><SPAN style="COLOR: black">For the purpose
of this research, a <B>mentor</B> <SPAN class=953174219-01042006>can be
<STRONG>formal or informal,</STRONG> and </SPAN>is broadly defined as <B><I>a
more experienced colleague who helps a colleague (his/her mentee) navigate in
his/her world of work</I>.</B> <B>This can be a current mentor, or a mentor you
have had in the past</B>. <STRONG>If you have had a mentor,</STRONG> you are
invited to complete this survey. The survey asks you about your learning
preferences and your experiences with a current or past mentor. It takes
approximately <B>20 minutes</B> to complete (please respect your agency and
supervisor's policies regarding completing this survey on work
time).</SPAN><o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></P>

Therefore you will be asked to provide the e-mail address of your mentor towards
the end of the survey. Your responses will be confidential - they will <I>not
</I>be shared with your mentor, or with any other individual. E-mail addresses
will be stripped from the dataset and replaced with random identification
numbers. </SPAN><o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></P>
