If you are interested in serving on the OPM PMF panel described
below, please provide your name, agency, job title, function, PMI
class year, email and telephone no. to Marguerite. Thanks. -PMAG

Good afternoon,

I’m seeking former PMIs/ PMFs to participate in an educational forum
for approximately 200 agency-wide Presidential Management Fellows
(PMFs) hosted by OPM at the Theodore Roosevelt Building in DC on
September 19, 2006. We are putting together a panel of 3 to 5 PMI
alumni to provide career advice and answer questions for the final
session of the day-long event.

The forum will be the first in a series the PMF program is planning
to conduct, two or so times a year, at different agencies, to provide
training for current fellows. These forums are intended to provide
valuable information on specific content issues such as the Federal
budget or homeland security, or on leadership issues such as team
building and conflict resolution. All current fellows across at
agencies will be invited to participate.

The first forum will provide an overview of challenges facing the
Federal government in the 21st Century and highlight human capital
issues that ultimately provide potential opportunities for fellows,
as well as providing information on building a successful career in
the PMF Program and beyond. In terms of our tentative schedule: we’d
like to finish with the alumni panel complete group session from 3:30
to 5 pm. Also, it is not necessary that the PMF alumni work in the
human capital field. This is more of a career advice panel, so it is
actually best if the alumni are different fields. We’d also prefer
current Federal employees from diverse backgrounds and demographics
so that all our agency-wide PMF audience can relate.

I’d really appreciate it if you could recommend several dynamic and
interesting PMI alumni and their contact information to participate
in the panel. We’d really like a panel of participants with diverse
career experiences to appeal to the agency-wide PMFs who will be in
attendance. This will be a great chance for participants to pass on
advice to PMFs beginning a career in the Federal government.

I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks,

Marguerite Martel
