Salary Range: $88,369 - $101,000
(Salary potential to $135,136 based on future performance)

The Corporation for National & Community Service is a Federal

The Job
The Senior Advisor serves as principal advisor to and representative
of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for operational, policy and
management issues impacting the Corporation's programs. The incumbent:
* Provides oversight and direction to assigned critical and sensitive
projects.
* Serves as the principal liaison for all subordinate COO office
functions.
* Coordinates, prioritizes and administratively facilitates a wide
range of functions including policy matters and management issues.
* Reviews, evaluates and advises COO on high level, sensitive and
often confidential communications, documents, legal memoranda and
opinions and inspection and audit reports.
* Represents the COO at meetings, both internal and external.
* Ensures that Corporation goals are coordinated across programs.
* Ensures that the COO receives thoroughly and properly staffed
decision documents and follows up on decision implementation.
* Serves as the focal point and catalyst for assuring rapid,
effective and comprehensive follow through on high level initiatives.
* Advises COO on the development and implementation of operational,
programmatic and organization-wide initiatives.
The Senior Advisor reports directly to the COO and within his/her
broad guidelines and existing laws and regulations, is fully
responsible for successful accomplishment of work assignments.
