Subject: PMAG question
Dear PMAG,
I am hoping you can help me with a little professional crisis I am having,
or at least point me in the right direction. I know this is pretty random,
but I thought it was worth a shot...
I currently work for USCIS - the project I have been working on for the last
1 ½ years was recently taken over by a political office (the whole thing was
really very ugly) - our group did not follow the project, based on some of
our agency's leadership decisions. We are now faced with the challenge of
trying to piggy back onto another office, which means not having a whole lot
of say in what I will be working on. While I am willing to do this, my
husband and I are now seriously considering moving to Boise, ID (my home
state) this summer.
My question is this-is there a mechanism to find alumni in Idaho, someone
who maybe still be with the government? I am wondering if there are any
rotational and possible conversion opportunities there. The federal
presence in Boise is limited, and the field offices I've spoken with don't
seem to have a good handle on the PMF program. I think my only way "in"
over there is to know someone who understands the program and is willing to
give me a shot!
My apologies for rambling-any thoughts or suggestions you might have would
be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
