In working with you and other safety partners, the FHWA Office of Safety has recognized that we can do more to support improvements in State-based safety data systems and to grow our capacity to do statistical analysis of safety issues.

This is a GS-2101-13/14 position in the Office of Program Integration and Delivery; and the job announcement can be accessed at: http://jobsearch.usajobs.opm.gov/getjob.asp?JobID=30733387.   We envision this person working closely with current staff and with others outside of FHWA (such as NHTSA & FMCSA staffs involved in safety data improvement programs) to create and advance safety data improvement programs; including providing hands-on assistance to states and program advice to FHWA field and Headquarters officials.
