Dear PMAG list subscribers -

I'm forwarding the following with no offical endorsement from PMAG. This is
an interesting, if pricey, training event.

Is this sort of information useful? Let us know - if we get feedback that
it's not useful, we'll restrict this kind of thing to posting on our webpage
only.

Subject: Public Service Challenge - Event

Tod,

Because you are the president of the Presidential Management Alumni Group, I
want to bring to your attention a unique program, The Public Service
Challenge, www.publicservicechallenge.com which we are producing with our
sponsors U.S. News and World Report and The Association of Government
Accountants.

For your members who are still active in public service or may currently
serve as mentors, this may be a program they might consider the professional
challenge event as a way to develop staff and the University Challenge as an
innovative recruiting channel.

The Challenge has two components the University Challenge and the
Professional Challenge .

University Challenge

The University Challenge is a national online competition open to all U.S.
undergraduate and graduate students promoted to over 1,400 colleges and
universities. Thousands of students have registered to participate. A list
of schools with students participating is on our website.

The top undergraduate and graduate performers will win a two day trip to
Washington DC and gain an insider's look at the issues facing our nation. In
addition to meeting elected officials and top managers within Federal
agencies, the Challenge winners will participate in unique events, including
a meeting with writers and editors of U.S. News & World Report and get the
story behind the story.
