Dear PMAG members, PMI alums and Current PMFs
The University of Tennessee is holding a career fair in a few weeks and is
seeking someone to speak about the PMF program. Last year UT sent 6
graduates into the PMF program. OPM is unable, at this time, to provide
someone to attend this event, and they contacted PMAG. We hope you will
consider contacting them about this event, alumni of UT are especially
encouraged!
The University of Tennessee Fall Job Fair is a huge event with about 150
employers and over 2,000 students participating, including many graduate
students. They are seeking someone to attend the Fall Job fair and represent
the program at the booth. The person or persons would explain the program,
application process, etc. to individual students who approach them. Last
year, Dr. James Wilson staged a 5:00 pm program that proved helpful. This
will attract some students who you see at the Fair and others who otherwise
hear about the program. The conference organizers hope the attendee might
give a presentation to an audience about what the PMF Program has to offer,
what types of people are sought after, and how the application and selection
processes work.
The Fall Job Fair begins the morning of September 8th and continues through
the workshop that evening. A person could still catch a flight back to D.C.
if he/she so desired. UT be willing to provide a complimentary hotel room
for one night for a PMF representative.
